Muhammad is the messenger of Allah’ in Arabic). Rev. Within a square, ‘al-malik al-ʿādil / Sayf al-Dīn / Abū Bakr ibn Ayyūb’ (‘The just king Sayf al-Din Abu Bakr son of Ayyub’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘ḍuriba bi Dimashq / sana sitt / wa tisʿīn / wa khamsa miʾa’ (‘Struck in Dimashq in the year 596’ in Arabic).
